Review

A Travel-Focused Visa Infinite with Strong Overseas Value

The UOB Visa Infinite Credit Card is positioned as UOB’s core publicly available premium card, sitting just below invitation-only offerings such as the Metal and Privilege Banking tiers. Following its recent revision, the card places a clear emphasis on overseas spending and travel-related privileges, while maintaining a competitive miles proposition.

In terms of rewards, cardholders earn 10X UNI$ Reward Miles (UNIRM) for every RM1 spent on overseas transactions. Local dining spend earns 5X UNIRM, subject to a minimum monthly spend of RM1,000. While the number of UNIRM required for airline mile redemption has increased to 12,000 UNIRM, the effective cost per mile remains competitive within the premium card segment, particularly for overseas usage.

Travel privileges form a major part of the card’s appeal. Cardholders receive up to 12 complimentary airport lounge visits per year via the Airport Companion by DragonPass, covering a wide range of lounges across the Asia Pacific region. This includes exclusive private lounge access at Plaza Premium Lounge, KLIA Terminal 1, enhancing the experience for frequent KLIA travellers.

In addition, the card offers 12 complimentary local airport limousine transfers per year to KLIA Terminal 1 or Terminal 2, unlocked by spending RM5,000 within the preceding 30 days. For cardholders who regularly depart from Kuala Lumpur, this benefit alone can offset a significant portion of the card’s annual fee.

Supporting benefits include travel personal accident insurance coverage of up to RM500,000, access to Visa Concierge services, and a 0% interest Easi-Payment Plan for selected education, medical, luxury, travel and overseas transactions, subject to minimum spend thresholds.

The minimum income requirement is set at RM120,000 per annum. The principal card carries an annual fee of RM600. Effective 1 January 2026, the annual fee is waived with a minimum annual spend of RM50,000, calculated over the 12 months prior to the fee charge date.

Verdict: The UOB Visa Infinite is best suited for high-income users who spend frequently overseas and value premium travel privileges. Its combination of overseas miles acceleration, broad lounge access and airport limousine benefits makes it particularly attractive for frequent travellers. For cardholders who can comfortably meet the annual spend waiver threshold, it offers strong overall value within the Visa Infinite segment.
