A basic cashback card for motorcycle-related spending
The AEON Biker Visa Gold Credit Card is the lower tier card in the AEON Biker lineup. It works best as a lifestyle cashback card for people who already spend on motorcycle parts, services, and related purchases. Compared with the Infinite version, the Gold card cuts back sharply on rewards and travel perks, so its appeal is more limited.
The main cashback value sits in a few specific categories. Cardholders get 5% cashback on spare parts, accessories, merchandise, and motor services. Petrol and insurance transactions earn 2% cashback, with each category capped at RM15 per calendar month. Other eligible retail spending earns 0.5% cashback. Total cashback is capped at RM50 per month, including spending on supplementary and virtual cards.
The extra benefits are fairly light. The card includes complimentary travel insurance for accidental death, permanent total disablement, and ambulance fees. Once approved, cardholders can use a virtual card through AEON Wallet while waiting for the physical card. There are also selected offers at participating motorcycle dealers and merchandise stores.
The minimum income requirement is RM24,000 per year. The annual fee is RM95, waived for the first year and waived in later years with at least RM10,000 in combined annual spend.
Verdict: The AEON Biker Visa Gold makes sense if you regularly spend on motorcycle-related services and want a simple cashback card with an easy income requirement. Outside those categories, the rewards are modest, and many entry-level cashback cards can do better. For most users, this card is only worth considering if its specific merchant offers fit their actual spending.
